This months Vineyard Focus centres on Chapel Down, who are based in Tenterden, Kent. The Company actually owns two vineyards, with a new acquisition being on Bluebell Hill, close to Aylesford.

This will greatly increase the production of sparkling wines, with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir being planted on the new 112 acre site. With the first vintage due in 2010,  there has never been a better time to stock up! The gentle south facing slopes are on the North Downs below the Pilgrims Way and have high chalk content, good drainage and glorious aspect. This coupled with  Chapel Downs world class team has enabled them to offer exciting wines produced from varieties such as Bacchus, Pinot Blanc and Rondo. Chapel Down continues to win awards for its outstanding wines.
